Located on the tropical island of Oahu, Honolulu enjoys a warm, sunny but humid weather.

Temperatures vary little throughout the year, making it a year-round holiday destination. The hottest month is August (27.7°C/81.9°F) while the coolest month is February (22.8°C/73.1°F) which is still very comfortable, temperatures wise.

Average annual rainfall is 433mm (17.05 inches) and rain is frequent between October to March.

Most tourists visit from June to August - when schools are out in North America, families travel. There is little rainfall during this time and surfers also throng the Waikiki beach.

Visitors also seek the winter sun in Honolulu from December to March. This is also a good time for surfing and whale watching.
